There are four tiers—Gold, Platinum, Platinum Pro, and Executive Platinum—which are categorized by the number of loyalty points you earned. As you climb levels, you earn additional miles on base flight miles when you travel with American Airlines and its partners.
Starting March 2023, AAdvantage® introduced new levels and rewards even before reaching status. These reward levels include bonus miles, systemwide upgrades, and gifting of AAdvantage® statuses.
